We are a local chapter of the AVIR (Association of Vascular and Interventional Radiographers). We cover Seattle and the surrounding area. The main goal of our chapter is to provide continuing education credits to Interventional Technologists in our area. For a listing of when our meetings will be held see our events page.

IR Updates 2009 April 25, 2009

As you all know to keep our RT active status, we must have 12 CEU's per year (or 24 in a two year period). We know how difficult and expensive it is to attend meetings. The frequency of meetings is subject to our work schedules. If you would like to help plan any meetings please be sure to contact us. Whenever possible discounted registration will be available to AVIR members.

Besides continuing education credits these meetings will also get you in touch with other Interventional Technologists and Radiology Nurses in the area. You will be able to keep up with new procedures (without the high cost of other day long seminars), new techniques and meet new people who work in your field. You will have opportunities to exchange ideas and different ways of doing your daily work. Without your support and the support of the vendors in our area, these opportunities would not be available. To keep the cost of our meetings down, we do ask our local vendors for their support.
